Every child deserves access to the best possible care, no matter where they live. At Holland Bloorview, we are increasing access to our innovative, evidence-based clinical programs so more children, youth and families across Canada and worldwide can access individualized care – where and when they need it.
Imagine playing music with the power of your mind. This may be the stuff of science fiction – but it’s happening here with Holland Bloorview’s world-first clinical brain computer interface (BCI) program. What’s more, the hospital and Empowered Kids Ontario have teamed up to scale and spread this technology across the province, thanks to support from The Slaight Family Foundation.
For many kids with disabilities, feeling left out during play is all too common. That’s why Holland Bloorview and March of Dimes Canada have partnered to scale and increase access to Holland Bloorview programs that are focused on inclusion and play.
As Holland Bloorview’s first associate chief of implementation science, Dr. Sarah Munce is building new engagement frameworks and implementation pathways to ensure we are translating meaningful and relevant evidence into practice, in real time. This groundbreaking work will support a learning health system where we can connect diverse forms of evidence with what matters most to children, youth and families.
The Employment Pathways team is creating accessible, inclusive employment opportunities for high school youth with disabilities. Through hands-on programs, youth build real-world skills, confidence and career pathways that support belonging and future success.
